Prof. Richard England, born in 1937, is still active in photography to this day after having started in the fifties. Gaining worldwide renown as a prominent architect and the doyen of Maltese architecture, few know he has a vast portfolio of photographic work, in keeping with his multi-faceted aspect as an artist in sculpture, painting, poetry, music and photography. He has produced close to 40 books, and his book Walls of Malta is widely considered to be the first high level black and white photography publication in Malta, in 1971.
