Emmanuel Sciberras (1910 – 1995)
Noel Natale Emmanuel was born in Msida. He worked in the civil service before being appointed to the Museum Department in 1934. During the Second World War, Manuel was seconded to the Royal Air Force, where he gained experience processing the aerial photography films brought back by the British pilots. After the war, working with John Danza, he was an instructor at the Government School of Photography at 14 Strada Scozzese, Valletta. He worked at the new forensic laboratory set up by Wilfrid Flores at the civil courts. The collection is still covered by copyright in its entirety.
